CarbonKerma is combining carbon capture and blockchain technology to help the world reach net zero emissions by 2050. To achieve this mission, CarbonKerma needed a solid and clean brand that would appeal to its deverse audience of carbon emitters, potential token holders, and consumers.
As part of a phase-one brand development effort, we analyzed the organization’s go-to-market strategy and desired positioning before creating a tagline, a visual vocabulary that included a logo and color scheme, and a launch website.
The brand’s diverse audience necessitated a visual identity that could communicate both the big-picture idea of global impact and the complexity and sophistication of blockchain technology. A lime-green and blue color scheme helps by establishing an approachable-yet-progressive tone.
We also created a separate visual identity and logo for CarbonKerma’s KermaExchange marketplace as well as DigiKerma, the parent company. The KermaExchange and DigiKerma logos leverage the look of the CarbonKerma identity to establish a clear connection between them therefore creating a cohesive family of brands under the DigiKerma organization.
The new CarbonKerma and DigiKerma brand identity are helping to unlock potential opportunities for growth as the company introduces alternatives to today’s broken system for carbon offsetting and emissions trading.
